Notice period: Week 3

We entered the 3rd week of my notice period. I am still waiting to hear from the management and HR abput my last working day, though an early release is planned. I believe I will be released only by yhe end of this month. Most activities have already been transferred or reversed.

This week I killed time in the office with not much to do. I was really looking forwards to the breaks (lunch and coffee). One of my colleagues was off work due to a family emergency. I spent time with the other colleague.  We chatted about a lot of relevant and irrelevant topics. She shared an incident with me when she had lost temper and management did not intervene. I agreed that the management here does not want to get their hands dirty. They do not participate in conflict resolution.

The project had arranged a high tea for the staff. They had arranged it on a day when most staff members were fasting (I believe it was intentional). My supervisor taunted that I don't eat and hence I have health issues. I made a mental note of it and I will see how I can pay it back.

I interacted a lot with the person who will replace me. He has been with the organization for a very long time. He seemed nice. Additionally, he knew a lot about the "situation" at the organization. After interacting with him, I am glad that I have resigned.

Family day was arranged when I got to meet relatives of my colleagues. It was a bit refreshing.

Let's see what the next week has to offer.
