Size mismatch
I shop online ever since online shopping started in India. I do not like to roam around in malls, select a few pieces, stand in queues for the trial, and then stand in queues for payment. Online shopping is convenient that way.
We can shop anytime, we can browse through plethora of options, sort, and select, everything from the comfort of our house. That is one benefit that I thoroughly enjoy. The disadvantages are that the size may not fit, the appearance could deceive, or the quality could be compromised.
In all years of my online shopping, I have rarely come across bad quality products. However, at several instances I received the products which did not match the size as stated on the shopping site. One instance is particularly remarkable.
I had ordered something for an elderly relative. The product was of good quality, good colour (suitable for all ages), and at a good price point. I was happy with that purchase because the product appeared expensive despite its' affordable price.
When the product arrived, I saw that it was not in the size I ordered. It was in my size, instead of the bigger size which would fit my relative. But the product was impeccable. Premium quality fabric, unique colour, and elegant design. It was too good of a product to return for the size issue. I retained it for myself and bought something else for my relative.
Online shopping sometimes make such pleasant mistakes which become treasured memories.
