Book review: Atomic habits
A couple of months ago a colleague of mine recommended the book called as Atomic Habits. Though I was aware of the book, I hadn't read that yet. It was always on the list of international bestsellers, however it was always expensive. I purchased it in the last month and I read it within 20 days. Here is my book review as a reader.
The book suggest that we should start making small changes either to create a new habit or to break an existing habit. Small increments will yield bigger results in a long run.
The book enlist some of the personal stories as well as testimonies of other people. There are several examples which provide us evidence towards creating small changes in the existing routine which would lead to bigger changes. The author has also included evidence from published literatures and studies.
The author has also provided several charts graphs and lists which will help us in creating new habits or breaking the habits which we do not want to carry. Towards the end of each chapter the author has provided a synopsis in form of tables and lists which are extremely helpful to the reader. While the book provides scientific evidence, it never becomes boring it is always a pleasant and positive read.
I found this self-help book to be extremely helpful and hence I would recommend this book to every person who wants to make their lives better.
P. S. This blog is also an effort (atomic habit) to become a better writer.
